Transmuter la colère en création et la frustration en résistance… Inspirées par les mystiques, les ascètes et les fols en Christ, les visions de Thierry Kupferschmid luttent pour ramener une étincelle de magie dans un monde humain qui se vide chaque jour un peu plus de sa substance. A l’instar des rituels chamaniques, le travail de cet artiste suisse investigue les profondeurs les plus secrètes de chaque être en mettant en scène un corps qu'il considère à la fois comme le premier et le dernier territoire à reconquérir. Cette sélection de vingt-cinq images est extraite de Another Type of Ambiguity, une oeuvre qui réunit vingt-trois séries de photographies réalisées avec la collaboration de la photographe Ilaria Albisetti.

To transmute anger into creation and frustration into resistance... Inspired by the mystics, the ascetics and the Christ crazed, the visions of Thierry Kupferschmid struggle to bring back a spark of magic in a human world each day more devoid of its substance. Much alike the shamanic rituals, this Swiss artist’s work investigates the most secret depths of each being by staging a body he considers to be both the first and the last territory to be reconquered. This selection of twenty-five images is taken from Another Type of Ambiguity, a work that gathers twenty-three series of photographs realized with the collaboration of the photographer Ilaria Albisetti.
