Steve Lawler est né le 24 juillet 1968 à Salford, une banlieue pauvre de Manchester. Sa peur de l'informatique l'a tenu éloigné des ordinateurs jusqu'en 1999, année de sa reconversion et de sa découverte de Photoshop. Il lui est difficile d'expliquer ce qui l'attire dans les aspects les plus sombres et les plus étranges de la nature humaine. Son docteur lui a vivement recommandé de se lever tôt et de s'exposer un peu à la lumière du jour.

Born on July 24th 1968 in Salford, a poverty stricken place just outside of Manchester in England, Steve Lawler didn't discover Photoshop and the computer until 1999, having previously held an incredible aversion to (or fear of) them, but since, in a feverish, miraculous, road to Microsoft conversion found that he is completely unable to leave his computer alone. He is not sure that he can explain why he is drawn to the dark and hallucinatory aspects of human nature. His doctor told him that he should get up early and go out into the light.
